The best results possible can be achieved by having a good plan at the start and if that is what you want, I can deliver. I can write the script, set up the production schedule, direct the video and do the final edit. However, sometimes you just have source tape or other material that you want to be edited into a presentation worth showing. I can do that as well.
Source material can be derived from any of the following..
DV, BETA SP (additional fee), DV PRO, Hi 8 Video, S-VHS, VHS, VCD, CD-ROM, DVD, DVD-ROM, Photographs, Letters, Printouts, and other sources can be used.
From the source material, you specify I can digitize the media into a high speed Non-Linear Editing Workstation and create a presentation you will be proud to show.
Output can be DVD, VHS, VCD, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM.
I generally estimate the cost of video editing at 1 hour of editing time per second of completed video. This is an average, and changes dramatically based on the length of the project. If you need to tweak a lot, it could be more. In addition, 3d animation is difficult to estimate because of render times. A one-second animation could take 30 seconds, 30 minutes, or 3 hours to render, as this depends on the types of effects used in the animation.
A 15-sec. commercial spot could cost as much as $1,200 to edit, but that would generally only be true if the spot was very complex, with many overlay graphics and lots of tweaking. It could be a bit less if things aren't complicated. |

Based on this rough chart A one minute video using lots of graphics and animation would cost approximately $2,100 - You may think that's high, but check out the CLIP (6.6 Meg Download RightClick/Save). It's worth it. This kind of promo could really make you stand out in the crowd. It uses some interesting 3d animation. This video was edited by Tom Roe from many assorted clips and materials into this short promotion for WisdomTEK. |
